CTE Student Status Definitions
Exploring: Student taking one class in a Program (could be taking one class in multiple Programs)
*** Exploring hurts our State Accountability Index because they are never committed to completing a pathway, but they still count in our total student population.
Concentrator: Student who has successfully completed 2 classes within a single Program Pathway
Why does Concentrator status matter? GREAT Question!!!
*** A student cannot take an industry certification test without being Concentrator.
*** Perkins funding is attached to the number of Concentrator and Completer students we have each year.
Completer: Student who has successfully completed at least 4 classes in a single Program Pathway. Our goal for a Completer is to pass the Industry Certifications for that Pathway, so they will exit Career Ready. You must achieve Concentrator status before you can be a Completer.
